Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Target Urbanites with Metro, the UK's 4th biggest national daily. It distributes 1.1 million copies per day on public transport networks (trains, trams, buses, underground) and in high-traffic commuter zones and has over 2 million readers. It is designed to be read in about 20 minutes and contains bite-sized news wrapped with entertainment previews, listings, weather and travel.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Delivers incremental store sales. Drives awareness of store openings or new product launches. Provides Metro's endorsement.

How does it work?

Readers are recruited to the event through the paper through advertising (Online and in paper) & editorial. Ticketing to the event is handled by metro.co.uk/gimme and provides data capture. Metro provides full project management at the event including promotional staff, competitions, entertainment and refreshments.
