Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

High profile sponsorship of the biggest free family festival in the UK as either headline sponsor or as one of our key partners to deliver the best Godiva Festival ever! The three-day event offers free public entrance to the festival which offers a main events field, the family field and a funfair. The event attracted record numbers for the third year running with over 125,500 visits over the three days, despite huge rival attractions such as World Cup quarter-finals, Wimbledon, British Grand Prix and the Wireless music event in Birmingham.

What is the Marketing Objective?

We can guarantee a leap in your brand awareness to your key audiences and developing an ongoing relationship to increase this in the region. Our exciting annual events programme offers other opportunities to engage with your target audiences to maintain a presence and build profile and loyalty. Providing direct access to a captive audience of music lovers, young people and age35+ families is a massive selling point of our festival. Festival messaging can be arranged to maximise profile by hosting footage and product placement in between band performances.

How does it work?

We'll give you great interactive marketing presence over the weekend and offer festival goers an amazing experiential marketing and sales opportunity to link your marketing activity to actual sales during the event. You'll work with us not just relying on the event itself but the all the pre-event madness and promotions! Of course we'll cover all the usual marketing/promotional platforms as well, so take it read with publicity, social media, media awareness, PR and marketing collateral, website linkages, VIP networking opportunities will all be available.

Who's used it in the past?

The 2014 event attracted a range of sponsorship financial support from partners including Jaguar Land Rover, Fargo Village and Costain. In addition to the headline sponsors, a number of partners were also engaged with promoting the event either through media coverage or delivering projects at the event. These include Kerrang! Radio, Free Radio, Touch FM, Trinity Mirror, Radio Plus, Coventry Jubilee Rotary Club, Cycle Coventry, Careys, Coventry on the Move!

Our years of experience in marketing the event culminating in breaking our record attendance in our two previous festivals gives us confidence our media is hitting the right buttons! However, working alongside your creatives to promote your products will make it even better! The event generates significant local, regional and national media profile for Coventry and the surrounding area. Through the proactive social media activity, our communications had a total reach of 1.179 million, mainly down to our twitter feeds.
