Blackpool Council is looking for a major brand or organisation to become the main sponsor of the Blackpool Illuminations

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Blackpool Illuminations - the greatest free show on earth - is a six mile long extravaganza of light which has been shining since 1879. The sponsorship deal would start in 2007 and run for a negotiable period of three to five years. Brands and organisations will have the opportunity to secure naming rights for the world famous lights, taking advantage of the boundless branding and promotional possibilities offered by the Illuminations and the high number of visitors, from a broad and diverse range of demographics that they attract.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Secure a major brand or organisation to sponsor the Illuminations.

How does it work?

We are offering a bespoke sponsorship package, presenting an organisation or brand with a unique platform to reach the huge number of people that come to Blackpool, through an array of custom made LED designs and projections, stretching across six miles of Blackpool’s magnificent seafront. We are also able to offer tailored support packages to include activity such as the sampling to visitors to the town. The illuminations run for 66 days across August and November every year.

Who's used it in the past?

This will be the first time a major brand or organisation has sponsored the Illuminations.
