Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?
Cartoonito provides fun, entertaining and light educational viewing for pre-school children. It includes a highly engaged online community of mums sharing stories and experiences, as well as interactive and educational games for the little ones. What is Phonics on Cartoonito? A channel initiative called Sounds Like Fun, running on-air and online to provide short bursts of content showing real kids learning the Phonics way, inter-blended with our most popular show characters such as Fireman Sam.
How does it work?
With an inclusive and fun learning feel, the strand will play a key part of the Cartoonito offering going forward. Each mini show will introduce a new sound and video content of children, playing in a natural environment, interacting with words which carry the sound.
We have 12 eps currently on-air, and another 27 in the pipeline. There will be 39 episodes in total which cover off all 42 of the letter sounds in the Jolly Phonics system (6 letter sounds are taught in pairs). The sponsor will also have permanent media placements on the site.
