Would you like your brand to be at the very heart of fan engagement in the next Premier League season? Do you want to capitalise on the Leicester effect, the arrival of Guardiola, the return of Mourinho and all the other drama set to unfold with the 2016/17 season? PremierPundit is a new social game for license that enables brands to engage with football's most committed audience. It will help you build a fan audience for your brand and create authentic attitudinal associations between your brand and the year's leading football tournament.

What is the Marketing Objective?

PremierPundit is designed to help brands amplify their sporting credentials and demonstrate an affiliation with fan culture during the most anticipated football season ever. As well as helping to boost brand awareness the App is designed to reinforce attitudinal characteristics that are shared by the brand and footballing consumers. In particular the PremierPundit App will help brands boost their social media profile and create unique PR content throughout the new season.

How does it work?

The App allows users to predict the outcome of all the matches of the new Premier League season and win points and prizes for the number of people that they beat. In addition players can make challenges against their friends for prizes, social forfeits or a number of non-financial betting stakes that are available in the App. Brands are able to select their own products to feature within the App's stake section, giving them appropriate product placement opportunities as well as product sales from fulfilled orders. All activity on the App is fully sharable on social media.

Who's used it in the past?

This is the first time that Sporting Mouth has developed an App specifically for the Premier League season. However the company developed a similar App (called The Social Shootout) for the 2014 World Cup that was sponsored by Microsoft and Nokia and achieved considerable success. The App achieved all the KPI's set by the sponsors; generating PR coverage and news stories, achieving record breaking levels of likes and shares for content on Nokia's social media assets and generating take up in over 100 countries, with the UK, India, USA and Brazil among the leading markets.

Features / Benefits

PremierPunditt has been designed as a fully immersive accompaniment to the 2016/17 Premier League season. The version of the App developed for the 2014 World Cup showed that fans spent an average of 3.5 minutes per visit to the App and used the App an average of 7.8 times during the tournament. As a social App, PremierPundit has also been designed to make peer-to-peer competition incredibly simple. During the 2014 World Cup users invited an average number of 3.9 friends to play against them, with 60% making direct challenges with another opponent and 70% of these fulfilled.
