Available for the first time in over a decade, The Classic FM Hall of Fame is the world's largest annual classical music poll. Throughout the year John Suchet plays music exclusively from the chart in his ad-free Hall of Fame Hour, reaching +1.5million adults a week. Every Easter we celebrate the very best classical music, counting down the 300 most popular pieces as voted for by listeners. This is followed each Christmas by the Ultimate Hall of Fame. Running between Christmas and New Year this is Classic FMs bespoke countdown, revealing listeners ultimate favorite tracks.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Advertising awareness for the previous sponsor more than doubled within a 6 month window as a result of the sponsorship.

How does it work?

Sponsorship of The Classic FM Hall of Fame Hour includes credits during the show ( 9am-10am, Monday to Friday and trails across Sunday-Thursday). There is an opportunity for a weekly feature within this show. Promotion surrounding The Ultimate Hall of Fame Countdown, involves a voting pre-promotion from the 27th-30th of Dec 2012 with daily trails and a countdown promotion 31th of Dec 2012 - 2nd of January 2013. A range of digital opportunities will complement the on-air activity, used both tactically at launch and as a tool for regular engagement.

The last Hall of Fame chart generated 1.5m page impressions and 183,000 votes from 61,000 people. Research from a recent partner found that advertising awareness more than doubled within a 6 month window as a result of the sponsorship (+130% shift). More than two thirds of listeners recalled one of the sponsorship clips and listeners selected the sponsor over all competitors for the following attributes: Trustworthy, Totally secure, For people like me & has unique products.
