Northampton Karting is an indoor karting track catering for people of all ages. They've always relied on traditional marketing methods to attract new customers; people calling up, people walking through the door or finding them through their very basic website. The objectives of the campaign were primarily twofold. Firstly, and quite simply, the goal was to attract more new customers. Secondly, as a business they needed to decrease their reliance on voucher sites and deal aggregators and secure direct bookings.

By utilising ReachLocal's Google Adwords Location Targeted campaign they were able to rank highly in Google instead of relying on deal and discount agents, meaning they could get the sales directly. The geo-targeting campaign initially ran within a 15 mile radius of the venue and was later increased to 25 miles giving them over 1 million households to target.
What were the Results?
They were paying over the odds to the aggregator booking sites and getting direct visits now means no longer paying out any commission. Sales have increased 20% across all sales and 40% online. Because it's worked so well Northampton Karting have steadily increased budgets and marketing spend through ReachLocal.
