O2 use clean advertising to promote 13 stores across the South East and North East of UK in run up to Christmas
What was the Challenge / Background of the Campaign?
Green Street Media received a request from O2 in November 2013, in the form of an initial telephone enquiry, to explore the possibility of using Clean Advertising to promote 13 stores across the South East and North East UK. Within 24 hours we sent our campaign proposals/costs to O2 for consideration and within 48 hours we had agreed a campaign total, to be installed across 13 stores.
What was the Campaign Objective?
To promote O2 stores across the South East and North East of UK.
What was the Solution?
A wide range of Clean Adverts across 13 different locations across the UK by O2, specifically we were employed by the largest franchise group within the O2 network, in control of nearly 20 O2 stores across the UK. In the weeks prior to the campaign installation we began meticulous planning alongside the client, considering a range of design options and carefully planning the final installation locations for each advert. We then checked all locations to ensure Clean Adverting suitability.
What were the Results?
The 13 O2 stores that participated in this Christmas Clean Advertising campaign all experienced their best ever trading Decembers on record.
What were the Key Learnings of this Campaign?
This case study has been developed to fully understand the reach of a multi-city Clean Advertising campaign when used for a national brand such as O2. We have investigated how and why such an incredible response was achieved by exploring the pre campaign processes that Green Street Media undertake with every client such as design, target locations, finalization and pre-qualification of locations and targeted timings of campaign delivery/installation.
